The Weekly Pass
A new pass opens every Monday. Tasks earn you points towards ten tiers of rewards, and each tier has a free reward and a pass reward. Everyone can earn points and claim the free rewards. The pass reward at each tier opens only if you own that week’s pass.
What the pass adds
While your pass is active:
- Your city gains 30% more workers.
- Building and Academy study take 15% less time.
- You earn 10% more renown (prestige).
Work you start during the week keeps its shorter time after the pass ends.
Price and length
The pass costs coins. It is 50 coins at the start of the week and falls a little each day, down to a lowest price of 35 coins. It lasts until the week ends, you can hold one pass per week, and it does not renew. The shop shows the day’s price before you pay, and there are no refunds.
Tasks and tiers
Each day brings three daily tasks, each worth 40 points, and each week brings five weekly tasks worth 100 or 150 points each. They are drawn from tasks such as:
- Train troops.
- Hunt an oasis.
- Finish a building upgrade or a study.
- Donate to your alliance.
- Win a battle.
- Send a transport.
- Claim the daily gift.
- Gather resources.
The points total tops out at 1,000, and tier 1 to tier 10 unlock at every 100 points. Free rewards sit on the even tiers and are small amounts of resources and hourglasses. The pass row holds more: hourglasses, a Gold Coffer, resources, some coins, and at tier 10 a season badge that stays on your profile.
If a week ends with rewards unclaimed, they are sent to you in a gift letter.
The Daily Chance
Once a day you get one free pick from nine chests. Choose a chest and it opens to show your prize. Each chest is drawn independently, and the odds of every prize are shown before you pick.
Prizes include gold, wood, stone, iron, food, treasures and, rarely, coins. The free pick refreshes at midnight UTC.
You may pick again on the same day. Every further pick costs 3 coins.
The daily gift
The daily gift is a separate prize, also once a day. It can hold gold or a treasure. Claiming it can count towards a Weekly Pass task.
For the resources and treasures involved, see Resources and upkeep and Generals and treasures.
