Request account deletion

In the app

There are two places to start. Both end on the same sign-in check.

From More, then Account and sign-in

  1. Tap More on the bottom bar, then Account and sign-in. Before you enter a world, use the Account button on the world picker instead.
  2. In the Delete account card, tap Delete. The first prompt, Delete account?, explains what deletion does. Tap Continue.
  3. The second prompt, Delete for good?, says "This cannot be undone. You will lose all of this" and lists your kingdom and each linked sign-in, which is unlinked. Tap Delete to go on, or Keep account to stop.
  4. On Confirm it is you, sign in again with a sign-in linked to the account, using the button Sign in with Apple and delete or Sign in with Google and delete. Nothing is deleted until that sign-in succeeds.
  5. A guest account with no linked sign-in types DELETE in the box instead, then taps Delete for good.

From More, then Settings

  1. Tap More, then Settings, and scroll to Delete account ("Removes this kingdom for good").
  2. The prompt Delete account? shows a Goes with it box that names your kingdom and its world and says the account takes its army, its coins and every item you own. Tap Continue, or Keep it to stop.
  3. Then Confirm it is you appears, with the same sign-in or typed DELETE step as above.

If the account signs in with a provider this device does not offer, delete it from a device where you can use that sign-in, or ask by email as below. Deletion cannot be undone. Reinstalling or removing the app does not delete your account.

By email, without the app

Email support@elderkingdom.com with the subject "Elder Kingdom account deletion", your kingdom name and world. We will verify that the account is yours, for example by asking you to confirm from within the app or sign-in provider, before acting. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes or purchase tokens. We normally complete verified requests within a few working days and always within one month.

Deleting some data but keeping the account

To have particular data removed without deleting the account, such as your chat messages or letters, email support@elderkingdom.com with the subject "Elder Kingdom data deletion", your kingdom name and world, and what you want removed. We verify the request the same way and complete it within one month.

What is deleted

  • Sign-in access, linked Apple and Google identities, devices, sessions (app and website) and registered push notification tokens are removed straight away.
  • Your usage records (the screens you opened, the actions you took and your tutorial progress) are deleted, and so are the device details kept with them: platform, device model, operating system version, app version and the test-device flag.
  • Your kingdom and city names are removed, and your avatar is reset. World rankings on this website are public without a sign-in and show kingdom name, rank, score, alliance and crest. Deleting the account removes the kingdom name from those standings.
  • Your chat messages, letters, reports, block lists, feed items, invitations and alliance text are erased.
  • That includes every chat message you sent or received, and every report you filed or that was filed about you.

Chat between other players is not affected by your deletion. It is deleted automatically after 30 days, except a message that someone has reported, which is kept for moderation for as long as a report on it remains.

What stays

  • Game-world records such as map tiles, cities, inventory and generals stay in the world, de-identified: your names and sign-in links are removed, and ownership of oases and forts is released.
  • Purchase and transaction records, which stay linked to an internal account number and are kept for accounting, tax, refund handling and fraud prevention, normally up to six years.
  • Backups: we keep the 14 most recent daily backups, and older ones are overwritten. Deleted data in a backup is not restored into the live game.

Deleting your account ends your licence to unused coins and items, which are not refunded. See our privacy policy and terms.
